We are inspired by the Waldorf philosophy and approach, which works with the inherent joy of learning, curiosity and imagination of our young.

Ours is a school in the country, nestled among indigenous forests away from the noise and stress of the city; where your child can experience an education that feeds the whole human being, and prepares her or him for life, and to become a creative and confident member of society.

Our specially-trained teachers provide an all-round education that gives everything and more than your child needs to enter Zimsec.

Kufunda Village School strives to provide  a healthy and holistic education to children from 3 to 14 (ECD to Grade 7). In addition to Shona, English, Maths, Science, History and Geography, the children learn a variety of artistic skills: painting, drawing, modelling, singing and dance. Poetry and acting play a big role in the daily artistic activities in the lessons.

Added to these is a third sphere of more practical activities: handwork (sewing, knitting, crochet, etc), woodwork, gardening, house-building, baking and cooking and animal-care.
